Price wise anything worth having is going to set you back to the tune of £3000, if you can find anything nice like Ride suggested for £2500 let me know I have cash waiting. These bikes are good sellers in the trade and tend to be fairly well looked after on the whole. They were more expensive than the Japanese competition so were bought by more patriotic owners and enthusiasts rather than nutters that just wanted to ride fast.

As a result they normally have a full history, not too many miles on the clock and still look pretty fresh. Being a triple they have a bit more character than the Jap inline fours. Top speed is about the same as a 600 at 165+ mph, but the extra 75cc and longer stroke of the 3 cylinders give more low down torque and drive ability. Handling is just as sharp as any middle weight sports bike out there, reliability is sound and don’t forget this won various bike of the year awards when it first came out.

Ride didn’t do this bike justice, despite still costing 3 big ones for anything decent this should be in the top ten of Rides list at least with some of the other tat that’s in there. What happened to all the good testers? Fast Ron, Gus Scott, Jimarillo?

I didn’t bother with school work for the last couple of years of school. I could do a book report we had about 3 weeks to do in about half hour at the start of the lesson it had to be handed in and still get a grade A.
